Our Story
Why We Started Orzel
Orzel Energy was founded after watching too many businesses overpay for energy — not because they were careless, but because the market is deliberately complex. Suppliers rely on that complexity to keep customers on uncompetitive rates.
We built Orzel to level the playing field. By combining deep wholesale market knowledge across PJM, NYISO, ISO-NE, MISO, and ERCOT, a broad supplier panel, and a straightforward process, we give businesses the same buying power that large corporations have always enjoyed.
Today we work with property owners, manufacturers, nonprofits, and hospitality operators across more than 20 states. We manage over 200,000,000 kWh of electricity contracts and partner with 15 retail energy suppliers.
Chaim Orzel
President, Orzel Energy Solutions
Chaim Orzel is the President of Orzel Energy Solutions, a New York-based commercial energy brokerage and hedging firm. He works with property owners, manufacturers, nonprofits, and hospitality operators to procure electricity and natural gas and manage exposure to price volatility.
His work spans the PJM, NYISO, ISO-NE, MISO, and ERCOT wholesale markets, with deep expertise in capacity pricing, block and index strategies, and supplier contract analysis. Under his leadership, the firm manages more than 200,000,000 kWh of electricity contracts and works with 15 retail energy suppliers across more than 20 states.
Chaim is a graduate of Johns Hopkins University.
